The Fantasy That Was Final

So I have decided to take a break from FFX... seeing as Yunalesca wants to kill me with myself (Confusion). I make it all the way to the end, and she just pulls that trick.

Ugh.

And I have no more armor with the confusion block because I sold it all (besides the good ones that I have on my characters) so that I could pay Yojimbo a decent amount to finish her off.... But it still wasn't enough money for him... SoooOOOooo... I'm taking a break.

Now, while I am taking a very short (probably 1 month) break, I am filling it in with Eternal Sonata. It's a pretty easy game and I've already played thru it once, so I restarted it and am working on actually taking pictures, collecting score pieces, and doing the whole 'trade' system.

Final Fantasy X

So since about February, I have been playing all of the Final Fantasy games, starting with number 8.

My FF8 disc 3 was scratched soooo unfortunately I didn't get to fully finish it, and had to start on the next one (after watching the ending).

Luckily - FF9 is my FAVORITE FF game and all of my discs were perfect =) This game made me cry sooo many times! And Vivi <3 How I love that mage!
Well anyway - Now I'm playing FFX - and I didn't know there was so much extra content to it! I am actually playing sidequests and stories - not to get all of the Ultima Weapons - but to get the all of the Aeons and see more of the story and get a fuller view of whats going on.

The first time I played this game I was maybe around 12... and all I wanted to do was 'beat the game'. But now games are worth so much more to me and I feel more fulfilled when I beat every aspect of it! (Or get all of the achievements on xbox).

Anyway - I haven't finished it yet - right now I'm fighting Yunalesca for the second time - the first time I ALMOST made it to the end, I was on the third stage and had revived everyone (Rikku was the only one alive and NOT a zombie) - big mistake. Should have kept them dead and brought out a zombie character. Mega-Death.... 'Nough said.

So yeah, I'll update you all when I get to finish the game! I SHOULD be able to beat Yunalesca since its not too bad if you keep everyone as zombies and cast reflect on them. Just dont let anyone die and always have a zombie character in the field and in the second screen.

Into the Galaxy of Stars

So, lately I've been trying to finish Star Ocean the Last Hope. Great great game. Love it. Like every other RPG.

The only thing that REALLY frustrates me (which is why I'm not actually finished with the game) is all of the freaking GLITCHES.

Not only can I not use the move 'Silence' and have to manually make all of my characters not use it or else the whole game freaks out and glitches, I ALSO have to worry about random ass glitches when Im in the middle of fighting as well.

::LIGHT SPOILERS::
So I was sitting here, fighting my final boss (which you have to fight twice and mini bosses inbetween) and I ran out of sages and resurrection elixirs and Sarah is dead and the only one who can revive people from the dead, but its okay, cuz im doing real well at this fight and I can feel so close to done (I mean I was fighting for 3 hours and all of the orbs were gone from the last and final (so I hear) boss).

And I switch characters. Pause for 30 min. I left my game on for HOPE that it would just decide to run again. 3 hours of my life wasted. Not only do I have to fight the last boss again. I have to fight the first one and the mini ones inbetween. OMG.

Would they just do a damn patch?! No because now its too late... Well WTH didn't you fix your game before you start to sell it?!! OMG SquareEnix!! You used to be my favorite!!! Ughfghhgcajhbfdskjcnqwe;ufh!!!!

Anyway. Le sigh. Im only just now starting to be mad at this game because right when that happened (the pause of silence after 3 hrs of gameplay) I didn't even feel. I was so upset I couldn't even feel anger.

I think this is only glitchy if you own the Xbox version of the game. I haven't heard too many people complaining who have the PS3 version.

GAR!

Tell me if your game is doing this as well and we can complain all day about SquareEnix.

Soo... Game Away Everyday, Hunh?

Yes... So I was supposed to finish all of the Gamehouse Games I had downloaded and write a review on each one... But what happened was school....and unfortunately since I'm almost done with school I have no time for games much anymore.

But I will say that when I do have a bit of 'stress-free' time I like to play the Papa online games which you can find here.

My favorites on this site right now are Freezeria, and the newest Wingeria.
These games are Time Management games and those are my favorite.

I hope you enjoy and I hope I am able to come back to gaming soon!

Game 4 - Airport Mania

GameHouse Description
"Pack your bags for fun! Guide colorful planes through landings, take-offs, and everything in-between in this frenzy of frantic fun. Keep your customers (and planes) happy by organizing the busy tarmac traffic in eight unique airports. Upgrade your gates, runways, repair hangars, and more to avoid delays and maximize your points. Filled with original challenges, whimsical graphics, and loads of surprises, Airport Mania is your ticket to fun. Don't miss this flight!"

Challenging

It's not a real hard game at all. It's nothing like diner dash - but it can prove to be quite a challenge for younger players, or players who hardly play time management games. I like this game a lot though. It's really not that bad.

Graphics

Graphics are in 2D, but they are very nice! They look childish, the airplanes look like paper cut out airplanes, but it adds to the style of the game! I love the sounds in this game as well! They are very fun and funny.

Concept

This game is a pretty great game. It lets you choose what to buy/upgrade to help you complete the game. It also has special/extra content in certain areas of the game. If you look out for it and do everything in the game then you might get a surprise =P

Next Game I will be reviewing - AirStrike3D (never have heard or played this game before! =D)

Game 3 - Academy of Magic

Gamehouse Description
"Enroll in a magical course of word game fun with this original challenge. Find words hidden in a group of letter tiles to earn points, power-up spells, and more. Beware of the Black Obsidian tiles, though! They'll drain your powers and bring an end to days at the Academy. Fantastic and fun, Academy of Magic - Word Spells is an engrossing word game the whole family will enjoy."

Challenging
This game is a 'word search' mixed with scrabble basically. I think it proved to be pretty challenging. There are these parts where you have to use certain letters before they get to the end of the other side, which also made it more challenging as well. Also, for help, you have 'magic spells' you can use on the letters to help you form words, but you only have so much mana to use the spells.

Graphics
The reason why I give the graphics such a low score is not because of the actual animation (which wasn't that bad), but instead because of the sound quality. It was AWFUL! When the witch talks you can hear the person's echo in the microphone. Oh man is it awful. I had to turn down my volume...

Concept
Let me tell you the truth... I didn't play pas t the first level in this game. I really just wasn't interested at all and wouldn't recommend it to anyone! lol Just go play a real game of scrabble. The only reason that I give this such a high score is because I can tell that the creator did TRY to make this a fun game... but for me... it sucked...

Next Game I will be reviewing - Airport Mania (which I have already played before (its a time management, my favorite type of game lol))

Game 2 - 7 Wonders

Gamehouse Description
"
Embark on a journey of puzzling wonders in 7 Wonders. Use your puzzling skills to create colorful matches and build the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. From the Great Pyramid of Giza to the mysterious Hanging Gardens of Babylon, 7 Wonders is a marvel of puzzling fun. Featuring classic puzzle game play, detailed histories, and addictive fun, 7 Wonders is a fantastic expedition for all ages. Start your journey today; you won't believe the wonders that lie ahead."

Challenging

Just like any other type of 'bejeweled' type game... No harder or easier. It's really about the same~ except the timer makes it more challenging of course... What makes this game better than bejeweled is the fact that it has a bit of a story and point to it. It's not AS mind-numbing - haha but I don't usually play these types of games anyway, but if I had to say so then I would say that this game is pretty alright.
You're encouraged to go as fast as you can because of the rioting little guys at the bottom of the screen.

Graphics

I give this a 'four' stars. I gave it that because, even though it doesn't have very many graphics (I mean, comon, its just a bejeweled game) it was still pretty cool. I like the music quality and choice too.

Content

All in all, I kinda started to enjoy this game, haha. I really prefer it to the next game I'm playing (and have started, ugh) You learn some pretty cool facts about the artifacts you are building in this game, and it kept me pretty interested. Also the game does get more challenging as you go with the time limit and the pressure from the mini dudes to give them more stone.

Next Game - Academy of Magic
I'm taking a break from 7 Wonders II & 10 Talismans- I figure I'll eventually get to it... I just can't sit very long and do things mindlessly... lol (I was going in Alphabetically order... 298 more PC games from GameHouse Collection to go.. X_x)
